Neurological Examination of the Arm 9: Co-ordination

Rapid Alternating Movements :

  • Ask the patient to strike one hand on the back of the other, raise the hand, turn it over, and then strike it back down as fast as possible.
  • Ask the patient to tap the distal joint of the thumb with the tip of the index finger as fast as possible.
